Decades of successes in the world motocross and rally worldwide led Pirelli engineers to develop an innovative compound, the SmartGrip compound for the Scorpion ™ MTB range, combining two opposite features: the Smartgrip Compound for Scorpion ™ MTB, combining two opposite features:
- laceration resistance, for the maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions and at the same time the maximum resistance to drilling
- chemical grip on wet surfaces, not to have to worry about the rain and the sections of the muddy and slimy route
The compound used is the result of an intense research and development process that has made it possible to obtain absolute performance both in dry and wet condition. Drawings optimized for the consistency of the soils independent of the climatic condition, maximizing the surrender of the various geometries of the pieces present in the Scorpion ™ MTB range, for a truly compromised performance. With the Pirelli Scorpion ™ MTB range it is no longer necessary to change rubber based on weather conditions, but it is sufficient to focus on the consistency of the land that usually face each other. The choice of the monomescla solution offers high adherence in both dry and constantly wet conditions, even when the pieces begin to consume themselves
