Tailor -made zonal cushioning

The evolution of digital 3D printing has made it possible to develop a new saddle without the constraints or limitations imposed by production methods and traditional materials. The padding of the adaptive saddle is made by Carbon® using their revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis ™ technology. DLS is an additive production process that uses the projection of digital ultraviolet light, oxygen permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to produce parts with excellent mechanical properties, resolution and surface finish.

Tested in the laboratory, tried on the road.

Using Carbon technology, biomechanical and engineers have an unprecedented possibility: to design and create multiple functional areas within the saddle, adjusting each of them separately for specific mechanical properties. Each of these key functional areas is designed for a distinctive softening and mechanical response, gradually and seamlessly united in the same padding. The result? A 60% reduction in peak pressure through a better weight distribution for greater comfort on the entire surface of the saddle.

Comfort for the whole day

Aliante is a wavy saddle that has a gradual transition and rake from the wing to the tip. With a slightly wider platform to support the Ischiatic bones, it improves the stability and distribution of weight for the exits of a whole day. With attention to comfort, the recently redesigned aliante has a more flat surface to allow distributed pressure in a more uniform way and a feeling of balance, particularly useful in prolonged resistance outputs.

The 3D printed adaptive aliant padding was designed to provide each cyclist with the right support, regardless of the driving position, for long bike days. The unique properties of our adaptive technology allow us to design a thicker padding with a softer central functional area, instead of a cutout, increasing the surface of the saddle to better distribute the pressure on the saddle, improving comfort in longer outings. R3 Alianto adaptive balance both the resistance and the weight with a carbon reinforced nylon cap and a cable Kium track.
